What are the different types of grips?
Every racquet should have a replacement/original grip
Comes in different colors, textures, tackiness, and softness
Leather: Natural, little cushion, and not tacky
Usually comes in a 3-pack
Easy to replace
Goes over replacement/original grip
Makes grip slightly bigger ~1/4-1/2 grip size bigger
Comes in a variety of colors, styles, textures, and tackiness
Gauze: Rough texture
Which should I use?
The type of grip you should use boils down to personal preference. Overgrips will wear more quickly, so will need to be replaced more often. They are also much easier to take off and put on. When replacing an original grip, you will need to clean the racquet handle before putting a new one on; otherwise, the leftover gunk will change the way the grip should feel.
